Peter LoGreco
Peter LoGreco recently completed directing season 2 of the Emmy, IDA, and Independent Spirit Award-nominated series WE’RE HERE for HBO, on which he was also showrunner. Prior to that he made A&E’s KIDS BEHIND BARS, about juvenile offenders who’ve been sentenced to life without parole as they take up the fight for re-sentencing. He’s made two projects for Netflix as well. The first was HOT GIRLS WANTED: TURNED ON, an anthology of 6 stand-alone documentaries that looked at the ways in which the internet has transformed our relationship to sexuality and intimacy.
The second was AFFLICTED, a multi-part documentary series that takes a harrowing look at the rising trend of “diseases of modernity” through the lives of seven people suffering from debilitating chronic illnesses that are often overlooked or dismissed by the medical mainstream. Peter also developed and directed DOGS OF WAR, an A&E documentary series about a New Mexico organization called Paws and Stripes that pairs veterans suffering from PTSD with shelter dogs to train them as their service animals. He’s directed and shot documentary film and television on a wide range of subjects, including directing 40 episodes of the Emmy-winning series INTERVENTION. His work has been recognized at the Sundance, South by Southwest, and Cannes Film Festivals, and has received praise in The New York Times, LA Times, The Guardian, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter. He received a BA in Religious Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Cinema from the University of Southern California.
